• Starter Supplies: Basic paper products provided as a courtesy; guests are responsible for ongoing use (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.)

• Check-In: 4:00 PM

• Check-Out: 10:00 AM

Early check-in or late check-out will result in loss of security deposit

Booking Terms

• Minimum Stay: 3 nights

• Maximum Stay: 62 nights

• Cancellation Policy: Strict; travel insurance strongly recommended.  Please check our policy prior to booking with us.

Important Notes

• Nearby Noise: The neighboring property, Tippy’s, may play music during certain hours. Tippy’s may close temporarily in September and October.

• Island Living: Eleuthera is a secluded island; occasional outages of water, electricity, internet, or cable may occur. Water pressure may also be low.

• Pool & Maintenance: No compensation is provided for pool or other maintenance issues (including a/c issues, maintenance issues, loss of internet, water, cable, etc). We do our best to resolve any problems promptly, but please note that repairs may take time, and items may be need to be ordered from the states to rectify any situation that may occur. 

• Beach Safety: Coral reefs in front of the cottage may be exposed depending on tides. Use caution while swimming and consider wearing water shoes.

• Time Compliance: Guests will not be compensated for late arrival or early departure. Unauthorized early access or late check-out may incur charges.

• Do NOT touch or move any pool equipment or indoor and outdoor furniture (including taking items to the beach).

• If you experience any issues, contact the host – do not attempt to fix anything yourself. 

• Failure to follow these rules will result in loss of your security deposit.

• Silverware Drawer Tip: It’s hidden inside the large right-hand drawer on the kitchen island. Open the big drawer to find the smaller one above it.

• Utility Notice

• Due to the island’s remote nature:

• Occasional water, internet, or power outages may occur.

• These are out of the host’s control and not refundable.

• Electricity backup: A brand-new generator is on-site.

Island Living Notes

Just something to keep in mind while you’re here: 

Eleuthera is a beautiful but remote island. Occasionally, water, electricity, cable and Internet services may experience interruptions, this is entirely out of our control, and just the nature of the secluded ness of the island of Eleuthera.  

We appreciate your patience; this is part of island life and outside of our control. As noted in your signed agreement, our website, and policy, refunds are not provided for utility or amenity interruptions. We recently installed a new generator to help minimize power issues. 

Just a quick note before you come by since we’re right on the water, the house gets a lot of salt air and humidity exposure. We do our best to keep everything well maintained, but it can cause some extra wear over time. 

Please rinse off any beach gear and personal items after use. You may also notice doors (especially sliders) can feel a little stiff: just use a gentle push or pull and avoid forcing them. If anything feels stuck, please let us know. To help protect the home, please be sure to close doors and windows promptly. 

If you experience any issues, contact the host: do not attempt to fix anything yourself. Please contact us immediately with any issues so we can rectify the situation, please do not wait until check out to let us know.  

Your comfort is our top priority, and we will do our absolute best to resolve any issue immediately. Please keep in mind that we operate on 'island time,' where logistics and repairs work at a different pace. While we can’t always guarantee instant fixes, we promise to be proactive and keep you informed every step of the way.  We work hard to address repairs promptly. Due to our island location, shipping delays and local maintenance speeds may vary. Thank you for embracing the island pace and for your patience!

Pools are cleaned weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays (weather permitting).  Please note that pool systems can operate at different speeds depending on their programmed settings and filtration cycles. Additionally, Eleuthera does experience occasional power fluctuations and brief outages, which can sometimes affect pool equipment settings even though the property is equipped with a generator backup system. Depending on the weather, the very fine sand can sometimes blow into the pool, temporarily making the water appear cloudy or different in color even when the water quality itself is not compromised.

 

If anything arises during your stay, we will do our best to address it quickly, but please note that service availability on the island may vary.
